I have been a self-employed teacher of piano and singing for about 25 years. I enjoy working with children and adults of all ages and abilities.

Pupils work on a wide variety of music and are encouraged to work towards exams, festivals and concerts. For me the best thing is to see pupils really develop in confidence. Some will go on to using their music as a career but for many it will remain as a hobby for many years.

About me

I studied for a BA in Creative Arts at Bretton Hall College, West Yorkshire and returned there a year later to study for a PGCE in Music/Children with Special Educational Needs. After teaching in schools for four years, I became a self-employed teacher of piano and singing. I enjoy teaching all sorts of music to pupils of all ages and abilities.

I also enjoy going into schools to judge their inter-house music competitions. In my spare time, I love reading, doing puzzles and playing the flute. I am also a volunteer steward at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts in Maidenhead.
